DataGov CI

Sector use cases

Five concrete scenarios for DataGov CI, to illustrate the platform beyond its generic description.

🏥

Healthcare

Regional health authority

Patient monitoring and epidemiological registries

Situation: community health workers fill out paper forms for ART follow-up and vaccination records, manually centralized once a month, a month behind the real numbers.

With DataGov CI: an "ART follow-up" schema and a "Vaccination" schema are created once, with the fields required by the national health information system. Workers enter data from a phone, including offline in the field. The supervisor validates at the end of the day; the quality score immediately flags missing fields before the report reaches the national level.

🌱

Agriculture

Farming cooperative / trader

Cocoa and coffee supply chain traceability

Situation: the producer registry (identity, farm size, delivered volumes) is spread across multiple spreadsheets kept by different field agents, with duplicate producers registered under name variants.

With DataGov CI: a single "Producer registry" schema centralizes the records. Duplicate detection (exact and fuzzy) flags similar entries at data entry. The dashboard gives real-time certified volume totals by zone, exportable to meet international buyers' traceability requirements.

🏦

Microfinance

Microfinance institution

Client portfolio and donor reporting

Situation: quarterly donor reporting requires a reliable view of the loan portfolio and repayment rate, currently manually recompiled from several branches.

With DataGov CI: each branch enters or imports its portfolio data into a shared schema. Business consistency rules (e.g. amount repaid ≤ loan amount) block inconsistencies at the source. The dated, score-signed PDF quality report accompanies the submission to the donor directly.

📚

Education

Regional education authority

Student registries and textbook allocations

Situation: tracking school enrollment and textbook allocations per school relies on paper reports consolidated once a year, making any mid-year steering impossible.

With DataGov CI: each school gets access to enter its enrollment and allocation needs. The regional authority continuously tracks real coverage per school and prioritizes textbook redeployment based on observed gaps.

📍

Institutions & NGOs

NGO / internationally funded project

Field data collection for development projects

Situation: a multi-site project must produce a quarterly indicator report for its donor (World Bank, USAID, AFD…), currently built by hand from heterogeneous files sent by each local office.

With DataGov CI: each office enters data following a standardized schema defined once by headquarters. The audit log provides the verification trail required by external auditors; the scheduled export automatically feeds the quarterly report, with no re-entry.

These scenarios are illustrative: every real deployment is calibrated with the client organization based on its fields, business rules, and specific field constraints.
